DALLAS - The Dallas Mavericks moved to the brink of their first NBA championship by defeating the Miami Heat 112-103 on Thursday to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven finals series.
Dallas can take the title by winning either of the next two games in Miami, on Sunday or Tuesday if a seventh and deciding game is needed.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 29 points for the Mavericks, while Dwyane Wade totaled 23 for the Heat and Chris Bosh added 19.

Jason Terry, Jason Kidd, and Jose Juan Barea combined to make 10 out of those 13 made three pointers, hitting 3, 3, and 4 three pointers, respectively. The Mavericks fell behind in the fourth quarter but rallied late to win 112-103 and took a 3-2 series lead back to Miami.
