NHA TRANG CITY, Vietnam (2nd FIBA Asia U16 Championship): Coach Olsen Racela had the luxury of using a 10-man rotation in the very first quarter itself underlining their superiority as Philippines cantered through to a 100-42 win in Group F on Saturday.
Rashleigh Rivero was Philippines’ highest scorer with 18 points.
Abdulaziz Sakar was Saudi Arabia’s only scorer in double digits with 11 points.

Philippines stayed on the winning track at U16 Asia Championship. They stormed past Saudi Arabia tonight to grab 4-0 record on top of Group F.. Rashleigh-Paolo Rivero (188-G-95) stepped up with 17 points to pace the winners.

Philippines dropped 28 points in the starting quarter to clear off. They piled up a 16-point lead after ten minutes. Philippines scored 25 points in the second frame to ensure a 43:27 halftime lead. Saudi Arabia could not change the complexion of the encounter after the big break. Philippines stayed in charge and recorded a 29-point lead at the final intermission. Philippines limited their opponents to just 5 points in the fourth quarter and sealed the victory at the end. Jordan Heading (185-G-96) provided 15 points, while Renzar Asilum (173-PG-95) and Adven Diputado (173-PG-95) produced 14 points apiece in the victory. Abdulaziz Sakar (183-G-95) replied with 11 points for Saudi Arabia. Raad Barnawi (185-G-95) netted 9 points in the loss.
