Sinag Pilipinas continued Tuesday its domination of the men's basketball competition at the 26th Southeast Asian Games with a 107-53 win against Vietnam.

The Philippines controlled the game from the beginning, outscoring the Vietnamese 32-4 in the first quarter. In the second quarter, Sinag continued to outscore Vietnam 27-19 to end the first half ahead at 59-23.

In the third quarter, Vietnam went on the offensive, scoring 18 points. But their defense failed to contain the Philippine team which poured on 25.

The Sinag offense was solid as all players were able to score for the Philippines. The RP squad also had 21 assists to Vietnam's 9. The RP squad also outclassed their opponents on the defensive end, out-rebounding Vietnam 44-25. They also had 18 steals and 6 blocks.

Greg Slaughter top-scored for the Philippines with 20 points, with three other players scoring in double figures. The Philippines will play Thailand on Wednesday for their last assignment in the group stages. The top two teams from each group will go on to compete in the semifinals.
