Azkals has defended their dog house in Bacolod. Lol.
It's been a pleasure to watch our very own PHL Azkals Football Team playing in our home soil and defended our territory, just like what the typical pet dog do to protect its master. In the 42nd minute of the match, Emilio "Chieffy" Caligdong did a Messi-like goal and eluded his defender. In extra time, Phil Younghusband has put the final nail to the coffin to seal the victory against Mongolia NT. The 2-0 victory gives the Azkals some cushion as they travel to Mongolia for the second leg. Previously set for February 16, the away game was reset to March 15, with Mongolia taking its turn at playing host in the home-and-away format. The Azkals eventually nailed two goals after missing several opportunities to score, but for newly-installed German coach Michael Weiss, the number of attempts his team made was indeed a good sign. “That only goes to show we have good ideas in our minds. That’s not something bad," said Weiss, who took over the coaching reins from Simon McMenemy last January. The whole game alone, we have dictated the match and we keep on pressuring the Mongolian defenses. I'm actually expecting a 3 or 4 goal if wasn't for the stupid referee's waving-off the supposed third goal. We actually did the German Panzer Division Offense, but we only nailed 2 goals (that's good enough for me, bad enough to the rabid football fans. Lol.). Hopefully, we can do this type of performance to their own territory and qualify for AFC Asian Challenge. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas Football! Proud to be an Azkalero! WHO LET THE DOGS OUT?! ARF, ARF, ARF!
